Komodo Island is a national park that houses the Komodo Dragon. The surface area of the park is 390 kilometers squared. The population is just over 2,000 people. Komodo Island is also a popular island for tourism, scuba diving, and snorkeling. Some other animals on the islands are the Javan deer, buffalo, civets, the cockatoo, and macaques. It is also one of seven islands with "pink sand."
